On a picturesque hilltop overlooking the beautiful Baraboo Bluffs in south-central Wisconsin, a new wedding and event center was envisioned.
The historic, Gothic-style barn residing on Myklebust Farms just outside of Wisconsin Dells had excellent “bones,” holding promise as a stunning setting for weddings, special celebrations and corporate events. Imagination and a solid restoration, renovation and expansion plan were needed for the old family barn to realize its commercial potential.
ADCI architects and interior designers quickly understood the client’s vision and assessed what would be needed to make that vision come alive. Structural integrity of the old barn was the first technical challenge resolved.
Expanding the structure to allow for larger events and maximum flexibility to make the endeavor financially feasible was tackled next. The main level of the original barn is the ‘grand space’ — the soaring ceiling with its exposed Gothic-arched wood trusses setting the stage.
Utilizing the lower level provides another 2,700 SF of event space and features a full bar and fireplace.
