A congested entry and extensive exterior stairs were just two of the church building's challenges the congregation wished to resolve. An addition to the front of the church provided solutions for multiple problems by creating new lower level bathrooms and storage and new narthex on the main level.
The new first floor space provides a warm greeting to worshippers and visitors and a place to gather and socialize before services, weddings and other events.
Designing an addition that seamlessly integrated with the existing church was one of the biggest challenges. Meticulous selection of exterior materials, finishes and attention to all the architectural details resulted in an extension of the building that appears part of the original construction.
