As their congregation grew, the St. Bernard Catholic Church of Middleton, WI, began to look for ways to add space to their existing building. They envisioned a Narthex addition that would connect the sanctuary to the existing fellowship hall, while also creating an inviting social space for pre- and post-function gatherings.
Throughout the process, care was taken to preserve existing features such as the building’s unique stained glass artwork and wooden archways. To finish out the addition, new elements and materials were chosen that incorporate similar lines and shapes for a seamless integration with the existing structure.
