The Badger Prairie Needs Network was the worthy recipient of a two-million-dollar emergency grant from Dane County programs in 2020. This, along with myriad private donations provided the funding base for the addition of the Kasieta Center at the organization’s Verona, WI, location, as well as other improvements to the existing facility.
The Kasieta Center addition comprises 4,712 SF that will enable the nonprofit Badger Prairie Needs Network to expand its volunteer services with new space for community meals, job training seminars, and wellness and educational programs. The center’s main area includes a commercial kitchen and an open event room that can be converted for meals or other programming.
The expansion also supports the organization’s mission by doubling the capacity of its food pantry and providing space for a teaching kitchen. Other improvements include an outdoor dining patio and additional parking space.
