For i3's Internet of Things (IoT) Lab, the client wanted a sophisticated and clean industrial "shop" feel to their specialized facility, which is dedicated to bringing IoT solutions to life. ADCI architects created reality from that vision using polished concrete floors, rustic-look ceramic tile, deep to light gray tones, workbench-style tables, rolling toolboxes as cabinets and plenty of exposed structure and metal.
To add warmth, wood was utilized throughout the space in various forms - natural wood trim, reclaimed wood plank, work surfaces and shelving. The open concept work area is central to the floor plan with private offices, reception, a conference room and break area at the perimeters.
